Smiles from the threshold of the year to come,
Whispering ‘it will be happier’…” Alfred Tennyson
Everybody loves the 31st of December. It’s not only a day of celebration to bring the new calendar year, but also to start new. It’s a chance to scratch all the negatives away and start on a new page.
It gives people that fresh start, right from the beginning, where they look to improve upon and build themselves and many more memories. Some criticise, and call those hopefuls of the new year as naive, but it takes a lot to change. And change brings in hope and ambitions. It’s probably the main driving force behind the things we do. It gives us direction.
So instead of pouring your pessimism all over the hopefuls and the crazy few who have dared to dream and set ambitions for themselves, encourage them and support them as they’ve dared to dream.
Am I one of those “naive optimists”? If that’s the label, then I’ll happily take it. I believe a new start is always a good start and is always important.
So here’s to the crazy few. Have a great 2014 🙂
Till next time
